Good day everyone,

My husband and I are flying 13hrs to Zurich from Singapore on 2nd November. Understand some town and mountains willl be closed to prepare for the winter activities. May I know where is the best town to visit in November. We would like to have some mixtures of activities and leisure plus good food. We don’t mind going any town and we will be there for 10days.

Any suggestions and advice is much appreciated . Have a wonderful weekends.

Activity planning is a but trickier in November – it is just a matter of researching which mountains are closed and which ones are not. You can read through our activity suggestions here: http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities/naturalsites

Click the route tab for any mountain etc. to read about possible closure dates. Once you’ve found activities that interest you and open on your travel dates you can start to put an itinerary together based on your wants and needs.

I had a wonderful experience in the wine country around Vevey (http://www.myswissalps.com/so uthwestswitzerland) in the French speaking part of Switzerland, just a few hours from Zurich by train. I would think it would be lovely in November. You might not want to spend all 10 days there, but perhaps a few days in combination with some other destinations near Zurich, like Winterthur, the Rhinefalls, plus Lake Lucerne.
