I will be arriving in Zurich on Oct 1 at 8:30 AM and wondering the best way to get to Crans-Montana. We will be there until the 6 and then returning to Zurich. We were thinking of taking day trips to Interlaken and Lucerne. Should we purchase a train pass and if so which one? Lastly, any suggestions on activities would be appreciated. We’ve never been to Switzerland and may never be able to return. Thanks for the help and suggestions, Mike

All connections from Zurich (http://www.myswissalps.com/zu rich) to Crans-Montana can be found with the aid of the SBB timetable at http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. The easiest ones require to changes of trains in Visp and in Sierre/Siders, where you’ll change to a bus to Crans-Montana.

Do you plan to make day trips to Interlaken (http://www.myswissalps.com/in terlaken) and Lucerne (http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne) while based in Crans-Montana? That would be really far off. You’d best consult the timetable to find traveling times. If Crans-Montana is your base for 6-7 days, I suggest you focus on nearby regions instead:
