How to get to Hannigalp, and how to walk down to Grächen.
How to get there and back
It takes 5 minutes to walk from the bus station in Grächen to the gondola to Hannigalp. Grächen can be reached by car or by bus from the railway station in St. Niklaus.
Route
Follow the signs to Grächen from Hannigalp. You will pass a chapel and enter the forests of the Grächerwald soon after. Head for the Ried glacier from Eggeri. You will now follow the trail along the open waterworks for a while. Head for Riedbach/Bordierhütte further on. After a while you'll have to leave this path by turning right at a junction, into the descending path to Niedergrächen. Turn left into the descending path to Grächen at the next intersection. Keep heading for Grächen. You will now enter a wide forest trail. Follow it until the asphalt road. Turn left into the descending road to reach the sports facilities. Turn left there, and walk straight ahead until you reach the main street (Dorfweg). Turn right to the post office/bus station.
