Berner Oberland Pass at reduced price with STP
-
Hi,
I am currently planning a 2nd trip to Switzerland for July/August. Currently, I’m looking at doing both Bernina & Glacier Express before basing around Interlaken or Spiez area for a week or so. I had a look at the BOP Regional Pass and it seems that for travel around the region, it seems to be better a decent deal (e.g. Niesen, Stockhorn, Harder etc. are free vs Swiss Pass 50%), do correct me if I’m wrong.
My question is, to get the discounted rates for the BO Pass, as far as I understand, the rule is to have a Swiss Pass; “a 25% discount applies to the pass price if you have a valid Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card at the time of traveling;”
Both myswissalps and official BOP page by BLS do not mention the Swiss Travel Pass Flex. Does this mean that to get the BOP at reduced price, I have to have a concurrent Swiss Travel Pass (Consecutive)?
Or is it just assumed that the STP Flex is the same as STP (Consecutive), meaning the rule is simply to have a valid STP during the point of purchasing the BOP? If STP Flex is valid to get discounted BOP, does the first and last Flex date have to before & after the BOP duration?
Many thanks!
