About this trail

If you feel like a good climb of 800 m (2,600 ft) and magnificent views, the trail from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg is a good option.

The first part of this route leads through the lovely car-free village of Wengen. Quickly hereafter the path enters a forest and the first steep ascent begins. When you leave the forest, there is a splendid view of the Jungfrau after the curve.

The last part runs parallel to the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The endpoint of Kleine Scheidegg offers the opportunity to rest at one of the cafes, which offer again a great view of the mountains. You can board a train to Jungfraujoch as well.

How to reach Wengen

Wengen can be reached by train from Lauterbrunnen, where you can park your car as well. The rest of the area can not be reached by car.

How to get back from Kleine Scheidegg

From Kleine Scheidegg, you can take the train to Wengen/Lauterbrunnen or to Grindelwald.

Simply follow the signs to Kleine Scheidegg from the rail station of Wengen.
