3 day trip Geneva to Zermatt and back with STP?
A traveler named Coryna is planning a trip from Geneva to Zermatt with a focus on riding the Gornergrat to see the Matterhorn. With just three nights available, she needs advice on the best way to travel and whether the Swiss Travel Pass is economical for her itinerary.
- Check the timetable to effectively plan your journey from Geneva to Zermatt.
- The train to Gornergrat is 50% off with the Swiss Travel Pass, but evaluate if it's the best option based on your overall travel plans.
- A Saver Day Pass might be the most economical choice for this trip, especially with a fare of CHF150.

Would anyone please suggest how to get from Geneva to Zermatt in order to ride the Gornergrat to the Matterhorn viewing area. We only have 3 nights on this leg of our journey and want to fit in as much as possible. Is the Swiss travel pass the most economical and does that cover the cost of the Gornergrat? Thanks in advance for any information!
