3 days in Lauterbrunnen or Lucerne?
A traveler plans a 3-day trip to Switzerland in early June, coming from Milan before heading to Frankfurt. They are deciding between Lauterbrunnen and Lucerne, considering that they will be traveling with a pregnant woman and want to avoid rough terrains. Lucerne is suggested as the more suitable option for them, given their preferences.
- Choose Lucerne for its city amenities, lakeside strolls, and easy access to restaurants and shops.
- Lauterbrunnen is great for mountain views and hiking but may not be ideal for avoiding rough terrain.
- If you want a lively atmosphere with plenty of activities, Lucerne is a better fit for first-time visitors.

Hello!
We will be travelling to Switzerland for 3 days in early June from Milan, before heading our to Frankfurt. It’ll be our first trip too (yeah, we’re definitely excited!)
After reading on the net, it seems like Lauterbrunnen or Lucerne is highly recommended for first-timers.
However, we will be travelling with a pregnant woman (2nd trimester), so we’re steering clear of rough terrains.
May I know if Lauterbrunnen or Lucerne will be more suitable for us?
