    Hi everyone,

As a brief stop between Milan and Paris, we have three full days in Weggis.

Day 1: Relaxing in morning/taking boat to walk around/tour Lucerne in afternoon/early evening

Day 2: Nothing in morning/probably taking lift up to Mt Rigi/relaxing in evening

Day 3: This is where I’d love opinions…..

We don’t wan to start early, but also don’t want to stay inside all day.

What advice/ideas are there to see something unique on this day? I had considered taking the boat from Weggis-Fluelen-Weggis, but it’s 4 hours.

Is there a different boat or a different town we can get to quickly/easily that is unique?

    Thanks in advance!

Burgenstock resort is fairly easy to get to by boat and funicular and it doesn’t take too long. As Burgenstock is high up, you get amazing views of Lake Lucerne and it is a very attractive place to walk around. I hope you have a great time in Weggis.

    Hello davey1108,

Weggis is a beautiful lakeside destination ideal for exploring Rigi and the Lake Lucerne region. As you mention you are interested in a boat trip, you can read more here:

Or if time permits, if you fancied a walk from Meggen to Lucerne, you could take the train or boat to Meggen. Thereon, upon reaching Lucerne, the train back to Weggis. You can view the timings etc via the timetable link.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
