4 day itinerary help for Switzerland in Basel
A traveler is planning a 6-day trip to Switzerland with their wife and two children aged 13 and 10 in July. They want to explore nature, the Alps, and scenic train rides, specifically looking for a 4-day itinerary starting from Basel, with a focus on locations like Lucerne, Interlaken, and Jungfraujoch. They also seek advice on which Swiss Travel Pass to choose.
- Balance longer and shorter travel days for kids' enjoyment.
- Consider using the Swiss Travel Pass Flex or Swiss Half Fare Card to save on train costs, especially since you're traveling over two weeks.
- Look into the Swiss railways timetable to effectively plan your trips from Basel.
- Focus on mountain areas near Lucerne for easier access during your stay.
