7 nights Milan-Ticino-Zermatt-Milan: best pass
A traveler named Bicky is planning a family trip to Switzerland in early August, focusing on Lugano, Valle Verzasca, and the Zermatt region. They're looking for advice on activities suitable for their two kids and whether to use a rail pass for their travels, including a specific inquiry about the Peak2Peak pass for the Matterhorn area.
- Consider the Swiss Family Card for free travel for children using a rail pass.
- Take advantage of the Peak2Peak ticket for a great experience at Klein Matterhorn and Gornergrat.
- Explore activity recommendations for Lugano and Zermatt to plan your itinerary better.

Hi. Had a great holiday last year to Lugano/Jungfrau/lucerne/steim with great support from this group. Looking for help again. Can you review plans and provide guidance, recommendations etc
Scope – Two children 9/13 – two adults. Love swimming/cable cars/ 2 hour walks/ Large ball marble runs/Marmots/ quick sightseeing 2 hours max
* Flying to Milan on 12/08. – Staying over two nights in Lugano – Lido/Monte Bre/Ferry
* Then planning on staying in Valle verzasca for 2 nights. – swimming in river/marble runs/walks???
*Moving onto zermat region (tasch?? ) for three nights – Matterhorn/ zermatt area ???
* Flying back to Milan
I think all can be covered by rail under a rail pass scheme. For the matterhorn is the PeaktoPeak pass the best option. Any recommendations and changes to route/plan are gratefully received.
