It was very crowded when I tried both activities mid day. The line was too long. If there a desire to enjoy them – it has to be the start of the day. In my opinion.

So what time should we leave the hotel which is only few minutes to the interlaken west station in order to enjoy these activities and head to jungfraujoch .

Also we have plans for titlis from lucerne 2 days later.Is it possible to return by 05.30 pm so we can take the 7 pm dinner cruise if we start at 9..30 am from lucerne station to titlis.

Hi Ricky76,

The Mount First is getting more and more popular, unfortunately with the result of quite long waiting times for the activities. The earlier the better, I would say.

Returning to Lucerne around 5.30 pm should be possible, as getting to Mount Titlis from Lucerne takes around 2 hours, generously calculated. Use the timetable for details. Of course you will want to add the time you want to spend on the mountain to your planning, but it is do-able.

Hi all,

True, the activities at First are popular and it’s wise to get up there early. So I second your advice mannimjach!

But ricky76, if I’m correct you want to combine this with a Jungfraujoch trip on the same day, right? Jungfraujoch too can get crowded, and as the skies tend to be clearer (and views are generally better) in the early morning it’s tempting to do Jungfraujoch first thing in the morning. This inevitably means visiting First in the afternoon. Of course you can decide to swap the activities. But whatever the order of trips will be, on nice summer days in tourist high season you can run into crowds on both locations in the late morning and afternoon.

@Annika , yes on same day we want to do , unfortunately we dont have much time.Should have kept 2 more days for switzerland trip .
