Overall on a Chur – Zermatt journey, in my opinion it is best to be seated on the left hand side of the carriage in the direction of travel. However the line twists and turns (that’s the whole point of the ‘marketing blurb’ about the thing after all!) so you always get a decent view. If you want to be on the left hand side from Chur, you need to book a seat that is on the right hand side on departure from St Moritz.
