The Wengernalp Bahn is the famous narrow gauge railway with green and yellow trains that runs up from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen via Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg, the junction for Jungfraujoch. This is what most tourists ride on at least once during a stay in the Jungfrau region.

    Hi Miggles,

Wengenalpbahn (Wengenalp Railway) links the towns of Lauterbrunnen, Wengen and Grindelwald with Kleine Scheidegg. It is the main mode of transportation in these villages. You can travel from Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen on the Wengenalp cog train by first travelling to Kleine Scheidegg, where you’ll switch train before continuing to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. The alternative is to travel from Grindelwald on the Berner Oberland Bahn (BOB), considered a regular train, and switching train in Wilderswil or Interlaken Ost.

You can use the SBB timetable to check train schedules: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable

    Welcome Miggles

Further to Anna’s post you can also switch trains at Zweilutschinen when travelling on the Berner Oberland Bahn between Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen.

    Kind regards
