Day trip from Interlaken Ost to Jungfraujoch, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen
Jason is planning a day trip starting from Interlaken Ost to visit Jungfraujoch, Lauterbrunnen, and Wengen within six hours. He seeks advice on how much time to spend at each stop to make the most of his visit. The proposed trip includes stunning views and travel via the scenic railway.
- Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours for a single journey from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch and back, leaving little time for stops.
- Allocate at least 1 to 2 hours to enjoy the views at Jungfraujoch before descending.
- If time allows, consider stopping in Lauterbrunnen and Wengen for additional sightseeing.
- Check the Jungfrau region itinerary for more detailed planning tips.
- Consider getting the Swiss Travel Pass for unlimited travel on trains and other public transport in the Swiss region.

Hi there, If I am based the travel tips below. I wonder how much time do I got to spend at each stop like Lauterbrunenn and etc if day trip is six hours.
Thanks,
Jason
From Interlaken Ost, you will take the spectacular railway to Lauterbrunnen, Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg, and finally reach the highest rail station in Europe: the Jungfraujoch.
After enjoying the view and the snow up here, you descend back to Kleine Scheidegg. Then you’ll take another route down to Grindelwald, passing the impressive Eiger North face. Alternatively, you can use the quicker Eiger Express cable car from the rail station of Eigergletscher to Grindelwald Terminal in the valley. From Grindelwald, you’ll take a direct train to Interlaken Ost. This day trip takes about 6 hours.
