Difference between Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn
A traveler, Nitya Singha, is arriving in Zermatt on April 6th via the Glacier Express from St. Moritz. They want to know about the Gornergrat and the Matterhorn, looking for clear differences between the two, if they can visit both in a single day, and if discounts are available for combined tickets.
- Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn are separate attractions, with Gornergrat being more accessible from the Zermatt train station.
- It’s definitely possible to visit both Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn in one day if you start early.
- Consider purchasing the Peak Pass for discounts if you plan to visit both mountains.

We will arrive Zermatt April 6th through Glacier express from St Moritz. I understand there are 2 things to explore in Zermatt; Gornergrat and Matterhorn. We will start from Interlaken on April 7 afternoon. Can you please let me know if these 2 are different attractions? What’s the difference between Gornergrat and Matterhorn? Can I complete both tour before 4 pmif I start at 8 am from Zermatt? Is there any special discount if I take both tickets? Thanks in advance for your reply
