Free kids” mountain trips with Swiss Family Card?
-
I plan to travel to Zurich and Interlaken this autumn with my daughter (10) and have a couple of questions about using the Swiss Travel Pass, the Family Pass, and discounts on the mountain railways. I downloaded the very helpful map provided on this forum, but still have questions. I appreciate your thoughts.
- I believe I understand correctly that only I need to purchase the Swiss Travel Pass because my daughter will always be with me and is under 16. Is that right? I can obtain the “Family Pass” at my first station?
- Am I correct in that the following ticket discounts apply to me with a valid Swiss Travel Pass on these mountain rail lines: Jungfraujoch (25%), Harder Klum funicular (50%), Niederhorn funicular (50%), Schynige Platte (50%), Kleine Scheidegg (25%)?
- Does the family pass also allow my daughter free travel on these mountain railways (e.g. Jungfraujoch, Harder Klum, Schynige Platte, Niederhorn, Kleine Scheidegg)? If not, is there a discount?
Thank you very much for your time and input!
