Geneve, Lucerne, Jungfrau, Pilatus/Titlis in 4days
-
Hello,
I am planning a trip to Switzerland for 4 days. I land at Geneve airport on 5th October at 15.00 hrs with my mother and Aunt who are in their sixties. Below is the itinerary :
1. Arrive geneva on 5th October and spend the day at geneva visiting Geneva Lake, Jet d’Eau, Palais des nations, L’horloge fleurie, Reformation Wall, Broken chair and WHO.
2. On 6th October we travel to Luzern by morning train, Check into our hotel and leave by 14.00 hrs for Rhine Falls. Spend the day at Rhine falls and back by Late train(around 19.00 or 20.00 hrs) to Lucerne.
3. On 7th October, we travel Lucerne – Interlaken Ost – Wengen – Jungfrau – Grindewald – Interlaken Ost – Lucerne.
4. On 8th October, I am confused whether to do Titlis or Pilatus.
I have few questions:
1. Is this itinerary doable according to weather and age of people?
2. Should we do Pilatus or Titlis on 8th October. I plan to book my flight for 9th early morning or 10th early morning. If Pilatus or titlis can be done in 8th along with travel by train to Basel the same day evening, I shall book my flight for 9th Morning else 10th Morning.
3. i am also confused about passes. I took help of your calculation sheet but i am confused. for eg, under STP, for Golden Pass line, it is written Train from Montreux to Lucerne: free doe that mean that the other way round is also free? eg Lucerne to Montreux?
I have attached my calculation sheet for your reference. Could you please check that i have correctly put discounts for each travel pass?
4. With my itinerary, can you suggest the travel pass which helps me better utilize the money? like ‘tell pass(Summer)’?
5. Please suggest if you want to make some changes on the itinerary i planned.
6. Is there any service is switzerland to transport luggage from one place to another? as we don’t want to travel with luggage.
Waiting for your response.
Regards,
Manasi
