Hi Kgoursolle and welcome to MySwissAlps!
It is impossible to tell at the moment whether they will be open or not. They should be open in a normal case, but we cannot tell how things will be because of the coronavirus. The best if you wait until you can and follow the news and updates about the COVID-19 at http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/does-the-corona-virus-affect-trips-to-switzerland.

Thanks for the help. I am holding on to hope that the virus will soon be stopped. I am in California and everything is shut. Luckily we can still bike and hike so long as we maintain social distancing. I hope that everyone stays safe. I can always wait and do the trek next year.

Hi Kgoursolle,
I am sure the huts will only be allowed to open if it’s safe. So if anti-virus measures are still in place, they will either be closed, or open in “low occupancy mode” probably. But, as Ildiko says, it’s too early to tell. The season for hikes like this ends late September or mid October, so there’s still time if your travel dates are flexible.
Anyway, the Alps will wait for you!
