Pick rail pass for Interlaken, Zermatt, St. Moritz
-
hi , looking for advice/help on the most cost effective way to do the following.
we are travelling to Switzerland on 14th may, landing at Basel.
basel – Interlaken by train staying 4 nights, whilst here, we would like to do a boat cruise on lake Thun , visit St Beautis caves, take the Jungfrau express and onto Jungfrau Joch and visit Harder Kulm, also visit Briez and take a trip on the old cog wheel railway.
18th May , train to Zermatt stay 3 nights whilst here take a trip on Gornergrat cog wheel train
21st may , Take Glacier express to St Moritz 2 nights , do we need to book this in advance
23rd may , Take the train on Bernina line to Tirano (italy) where we collect a hire car to continue our hols.
The hotel at interlaken does a local visitor pass, is this an option?
Are we better off booking as we go or purchasing a travel pass at Basel ?
Finding it all quite confusing
Many thanks in advance Donita
