Hiking hut to hut – Schynige Platte to Grindelwald
Ilana leikin is planning a multiday hut-to-hut hike in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland, starting from Schynige Platte, with stops at several huts and ending in Lauterbrunnen. She is looking for advice on her route and tips on trail maps. The planned trek includes beautiful views and scenic trails but requires careful navigation.
- Make sure to take the Panoramaweg trail from Schynige Platte for spectacular views, even if it adds about 30 minutes to your hike.
- Consider using the book 'Tour of the Jungfrau Region' by Kev Reynolds for detailed maps and trail descriptions.
- The Swiss Travel Pass can help save on transportation costs, so look into that for your trips between hikes.

Hello,
I would like to do a hut to hut multiday hike in Switzerland in the Jungfrau region. This is the route I am thinking of taking:
Day 1: take the train to Schynige Platte. Hike up to Berghotel Faulhorn.
Day 2: Faulhorn to Glecksteinhütte.
Day 3: From Glecksteinhutte to Berghaus Bäreg.
Day 4: go back down to Grindelwald. Take a cog train to Kleine Scheidegg And stay in a hotel there.
Day 5: walk down to Lauterbrunnen
I am struggling to find much information so was hoping if someone could please give me some input whether this looks like a reasonable route.
Also I mapped out the route on gaiagps but is there a trail map I could purchase to have in addition?
