Hello Mikrivett21,
Welcome to MySwissAlps!
If you want to do some walking around the lower levels like Grindelwald, Brig, Murren and Lauterbrunnen, that is great. However if you want to hike in the higher elevations, it won’t be possible because it’s not the season. Take a look at this thread about hiking in the Bernese Oberland:
Below is a link about the various maps for hiking in the Swiss Alps. From the list, there is a map for the northern Jungfrau region. The maps show where there buses are. http://www.myswissalps.com/hiking/maps
These two links are great for hiking. The map below shows towns, roads, rail stations, mountain transport stations (cable cars, funiculars, cogwheel trains, etc.) and boat docks:
This link is great to see public transport stops and roads: map.search.ch/
This one shows hiking trails: map.wanderland.ch For trail suggestions and maps for each trail, you can visit: http://www.myswissalps.com/hiking
I hope this helps!
Good luck,
Suzanne

Hi Mike – In addition to Suzanne’s recommendations, this site may be useful:
map.geo.admin.ch/?topic=swisstopo&lang=en&bgLayer=ch.swisstopo.pixelkarte-farbe&layers=ch.swisstopo.swisstlm3d-wanderwege&zoom=6&E=2635682.57&N=1161583.44
That map can be made to show cableway staions.
This one may be simpler:
map.search.ch/?pos=640032,159976&z=32&poi=bergbahn,haltestelle,zug
This explains the color coding of trails:

In early May, anything above about 1200 meters will not be safely accessible, unless it gets uninterrupted sun, even if you can get up to it.
Paper topo maps are available at scales from 1:25,000 to 1:300,000 from Swisstopo and, the more detailed ones tend to be available near the localities of interest:

<<“If it would be helpfull is it possable to get one map for the area we would like to cover?, and if so what map would we need”>>
You can certainly get one but it would be useless. You probably want the 1:50,000 “Wanderkarten” showing marked trails of the Wanderweg network.

Worth a look at this page about the completely new Swiss survey mapping, walking paths will be in the same colours as the signs

Thanks-
I’ll take a look.
Looks a lot nicer, but the old ones will probably do the job.
I’ll pick up a few new ones nexttime I’m in der Schweiz.
I’d not be surprised if they wanted me to replace all my old ones.;-(
