    Hi everyone,

I’m just wondering if anyone could provide me with information as to whether or not Eurail Global Pass covers Matterhorn Glacier Paradise excursion? Will it get some reduction in ticket price..?

I couldn’t find this information, sorry for the hassle.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Yom77,

Please see link, this will show the map coverage of the Eurail Global Pass. https://www.myswissalps.com/eurailglobalpass/validity

Just so we are on the same page. In regard to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, would you mean travel the Glacier Express train route or something else?

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda

    HI Yolanda,

    Thanks for getting back 🙂

The link you provided above does not mention Matterhorn Klein. I have looked over it twice, but found nothing. Have I missed something..?

What I`d like to know is if I had Eurail Global Pass instead of Swiss Travel Pass, would I get a discounted fare on Cable car from Zermatt to Klein Matterhorn ..? Crystal ride..?

I`m now considering Eurail Global Pass as I will be travelling in 4 different countries and it turns out to be a cheaper option than purchasing Swiss Travel Pass. I understand that Eurail Global Pass does not cover all bus ride, but partial boat ride-in some areas. Is there any websites where I can check the prices for bus ticket..?

    Thank you again.

    Hello Yom77,

Apologies. Now I understand, you would like to travel to Klein Matterhorn. Yes, with the Swiss Travel Pass, you would be eligible for discounted travel to Klein Matterhorn but not with the Eurail pass.

Yes, as you are intending to travel 4 countries throughout Europe, a Eurail would be a sensible option. You could also consider purchasing the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, you can nominate the days you would need to use it for?

The coverage map that I included earlier: correct there is limited bus and boat coverage. For bus prices, it’s best you use the timetable link for which bus route you would like to see pricing for. Key in your route and the pricing will be displayed: https://www.myswissalps.com/timetable

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda

    Thanks heaps ,Yolanda 🙂

I will do my numbers again and considering Swiss Travel Flex.

    Appreciate your input.
