Walk Lauterbrunnen-Trümmelbach Falls combined with a Schilthorn visit
Michelle is planning a day trip from Lauterbrunnen to see Trummelbach Falls and then head to Mürren and Schilthorn. She wants to avoid backtracking and is considering skipping the falls if the hike to Stechelberg is equally enjoyable. She appreciates tips on the best route and timing.
- After visiting Trummelbach Falls, you can walk to Stechelberg, which is about 2 kilometers south of the falls.
- The direct cable car from Stechelberg to Mürren takes just four minutes, making it a quick option to continue your journey.
- To avoid backtracking, consider hiking or taking the narrow-gauge railway from Mürren to Grütschalp and then the cable car down to Lauterbrunnen.

Hello, I am interested in walking to the trummelbach falls from Lauterbrunnen. I was thinking of walking to the train station near stechelberg after seeing the falls to then go to Murren up to Schilthorn. Would I be back tracking the valley to do this? I could skip Trummelback if the walk to stechelberg is just as nice and about the same distance. Don’t want to spend to much Time in the valley if I do both in one day.
Thank you
Michelle
