From Lucerne to Zurich by panoramic train
A traveler is planning a visit to Switzerland, staying in Lucerne and then traveling to Zurich before heading back to Germany. They are looking for advice on which panoramic train to take from Lucerne to Zurich.
- To enjoy scenic views, consider taking the Glacier Express from Lucerne to Andermatt, then a regular train to Zurich, though this takes about 6 hours and 35 minutes.
- If you're short on time, the quicker route via Arth-Goldau takes less than 1.5 hours and offers beautiful views of Lake Zug.
- Reservations are mandatory for the Glacier Express, so be sure to book in advance.
- None of the classic panoramic trains are available directly between Lucerne and Zurich, so plan accordingly.
