Need Lucerne hotel advice for 2-adult and 2-kids
A traveler is planning a 2-night trip to Lucerne in July with their family, comprising 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 13. They're facing challenges finding a suitable hotel for four people, especially concerning room options and pricing, and they’re also wondering if kids can share beds in hotels and if it's too late to book in March.
- Look for hotels that specifically cater to your family size of four, as triple rooms are generally for three guests only.
- Booking in March for a mid-July stay might limit your options, so consider making reservations sooner for better availability.
- Check out hotel Barabas for a budget-friendly option; it's a short walk from the train station and suitable for families.
- Consider booking an apartment for more space and flexibility with your family’s needs.

Hi,
We are looking to book a hotel in Lucerne for 2-nights (preferably walking distance from train station) in July for a family of four people, 2-adults and 2-kids (8 and 13 years). When I search for 4 people there are very few hotel options and prices
goes up very high, but I get many options whensearch for 3-people (mostly triple room). If we book a triple room, do hotels in Switzerland allow the 8-years old child to sharebed with family and allow tostay all four of us in a triple room? I wanted to contact directly to hotels but it’s hard to reach out to them. Also, will it be too late to book in March for July-mid stay? Thanks.
