Rhaetian Railway: covered by Swiss Travel Pass?
A couple plans to travel on the Rhaetian Railway in the Rhine Gorge during a day trip from Luzern in August. They are looking for information on whether their journey is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass and if reservations are needed for the train. They want to make sure they have all the details sorted for their trip.
- The Swiss Travel Pass covers travel on the Rhaetian Railway, so you can enjoy your trip without worrying about extra costs.
- Reservations are not usually needed for regular trains, but if you choose to travel on the Glacier Express, a reservation is mandatory and is not included with the Swiss Travel Pass.
- Check the SBB timetable for convenient planning of your train journeys.

We would like to travel on the Rhaetian Railway in the Rhine Gorge. I have found reservations for Chur through the Gorge. Is any of this covered by a Swiss Travel Pass? Are reservations necessary for the train? We are 2 seniors traveling ihe entire month of August. This would be a day trip from Luzern. Thank you!
