Sledding in Early December
A traveler is planning a family trip to Switzerland from December 3 to 10, starting in Interlaken and then heading to Luzern. They want to know where they can go sledding in early December, despite most places opening later. They are particularly interested in recommendations for good sledding mountains.
- Consider visiting Jungfraujoch for sledding, where snow is available year-round, although rentals may be limited unless you've checked local locations.
- Most sledding options in the Jungfrau region, like Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg, start around December 8-15, depending on snowfall.
- If willing to travel further, Glacier3000 offers early sledding options, available from October or November, though it requires a longer train journey from Interlaken.

Can anyone give any suggestions on where my family would be able to go sledding in early December. It appears most websites say that sledding begins mid-December. I understand that it depends on the snow fall but which mountain would be our best option (Jungfraujoch, Titlis, Rigi, Pilatus or any other suggestion). We are in Interlaken (3 – 6 December) and Luzern (6 – 10 December). Many thanks for any advice received.
