    Hello All,

I will be traveling to Swiss from April 29 to May 4. I have kept 1 day open for sightseeing any village in the region Interlaken (places like Grindelwald, Lauterbrunner, etc.,). Could you please suggest a day plan where I can spend time walking and looking around any 1 beautiful swiss village. Kindly advise, thank you!

    Hi Kkarthik,

If you just want to walk around villages (rather than do any mountain trips), I would suggest you spend half a day in Wengen and half a day in Mürren, which are both beautiful car-free villages with incredible views and well suited to strolling around.

The villages are both very small, and I think it would be hard to fill a whole day in either of them if you were just walking around the village.

I would start off by getting the train to Wengen, spend the morning walking around there, then get the train down to Lauterbrunnen. From Lauterbrunnen you can get the cable car to Grütschalp to connect to the little mountain train to Mürren.

After spending the afternoon exploring Mürren, you can get the cable car down to Stechelberg and the bus back to Lauterbrunnen. From Lauterbrunnen you can get the train back to wherever you are staying.

There is more information about these villages here:

You can plan your trip with the SBB timetable, which covers both the trains and cable cars you would need to take for this day out:

    Hope this helps!
