Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card 5 days
A traveler is planning a trip to Switzerland for a few days, starting in Zurich and visiting Lucerne, Interlaken, and other destinations before heading to Paris. They are unsure whether to get a Swiss Travel Pass for 5 days or a half fare pass, and they want to know if the train to Paris is included in the pass.
- A Swiss Travel Pass is best for continuous public transport over 5 days.
- The Swiss Travel Pass does not cover the train to Paris, as it's in France.
- You can visit Mt. Pilatus from Lucerne, but it may not be fully covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.
- You don't need a reservation for trains from Lucerne to Interlaken; they run frequently.

Hello, we’re planing to visit Swizerland for a few days and I’m not sure what’s the best option for a pass, a 5 days pass or half fare.
We’re planing to arrive in Zurich. Form there to go Lucerne for a day then Interlaken, Jungfrauch, Grindelwald, Adelboden, Gelmerbahn for 3, 4 days and to Basel to got to Paris.
Is the train to Paris included in the pass?
Thank you
