Train tickets booked via SBB flexible?

Short summary – read this first

Manish is planning a trip and wants to know about the flexibility of train tickets booked online through SBB. He specifically asks about the validity of a non-SuperSaver ticket from Lucerne to Interlaken and how to validate his tickets. He’s looking for clear guidance on these points.

Key takeaways:
  • Non-SuperSaver tickets are valid for any train on the same day.
  • No validation is required for tickets booked through SBB.
  • It's advisable to print your tickets or use the SBB App to store a digital copy.

    Hi Team,

Are train tickets booked online via SBB flexible? ( I mean any train can be boarded for given route?) .I know scenic train require reservations.

e.g if i book Lucern -Interlaken non super saver ticket via SBB for 9 AM train , till how long the ticket will be valid?

And how do I punch (validate) my train tickets which are booked by SBB? Do I need to print them on paper or soft copy would do the purpose?

    Waiting for guidance.

    Thanks

    Manish

    Hi Manish,

Tickets are valid for any train that day (except the SuperSaver tickets which are for a specific time).

No validation is required for train tickets. You’ll want to print the tickets, or if you get the SBB App you can store them on there.
