    Hello rockoyester,

I thought I had no more questions but I do. So when leaving Zermatt, exactly which train do I take to pick up the Golden Pass route from Luzern as you mentioned above. Please outline the route for me if you don’t mind.

    Thanks,

    Gary

    Hi Gary,

I assume you mean to rather than from Luzern? You’ll find all route details here: http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/gettingthere. There’s no specific train to take. Once you’ve reached Spiez from Zermatt, you can take any train via Meiringen and Luzern to Zurich. You can fill those out as via-locations in the timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.

    Hi Arno,

Thanks for your reply. One of the gentlemen who has been a tremendous help to me thus far told me the following

“Well if you are keen to maximize the scenery component then instead of going from Spiez to Zurich via Bern you can turn right and follow the Golden Pass route (http://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass) via Luzern to Zurich”. That’s a nice route. Enjoy

So, what I am unclear of is; when I take the train from Zermatt, which train do I take and to where and what train would I connect to on the Golden Pass to get to Zurich.

    Thanks,

    Gary

    Hi Gary,

Yes, I have read that and I have given you the answer about the route and how to find the trains in my previous post. Please see the pages I linked to for further details. The exact departure time is up to you, there are trains all day long.
