Early December in Wengen? Worth staying here for a night or two?
Nancy is planning a Christmas market trip for next December, traveling from Strasbourg to Basel, then to Interlaken, and flying out from Geneva. She is eager to know if Wengen is still nice to visit during early December, as they want to enjoy the atmosphere, scenery, and possibly see the Jungfrau.
- Staying in Wengen is a great option in December; you'll enjoy beautiful views if the weather is good.
- Jungfraujoch is open year-round, offering stunning scenery.
- Check the operating schedules for attractions and cable cars in advance for a smoother trip.
- Research hotel options in Wengen to find a cozy place for your stay.

We are getting an early start on Christmas market trip planning for next December Our plan is to come from Strasbourg to Basel (spend some time and visit the market) and head to Interlaken for the Golden Pass to Montreux. We will fly out of Geneva back to Vancouver. We have a couple of nights around Interlaken and our preference is to stay in a mountain village (we loved Murrin last visit and would like to see Wengen) It is early December so looks like some places are closed? Is Wengen still worthwhile at this time of year for a night or two to experience the ambience, scenery and potentially the Jungfrau?
Thanks again!
Nancy
