    Hello again.

Stalden is close to two of most beautiful mountain resorts in Switzerland.  And you are in luck, the weather forecast for the next two days is good.

Saas Fee is sometimes called ‘The Pearl of the Alps’.  You can drive to the northern edge of the village, but there you must park, as the village itself is ‘car-free’.

A few hundred metres south of the car parks is the ‘Panorama Bridge’  from which there is magnificent view of snow-covered mountains and glaciers.

A few hundred meters further on is the bottom station of the cable cars up to Felskinn.

Zermatt must be one of the most famous holiday resorts in the whole world.  You can drive as far as Täsch, from where there is a shuttle train service.

Just opposite the main train station at Zermatt is the station for the cog-wheel railway up to Gornergrat.  Sit on the right hand side of the train for the best views of the Matterhorn, one of the best known mountains in the whole world.

At the top it is a short hike to the summit, where you are rewarded with a 360 degrees view of numerous very high mountain peaks.

    Hi again,

Stalden is a small and scenic mountain village and you can explore it easily on foot.

I recommend parkin your car and take the train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn (if you haven’t done this yet). Don’t forget to take the cogwheel train up to Gornergrat!
