You get bus 408 from Altdorf UR, Bahnhof Ost to Unterschächen, Ribi and then hike for about an hour to the waterfall, and return the same way.

I haven’t been, but am planning to go to Staubifall in late August next year and can share some information with you.
If you enjoy hiking, perhaps consider a more enjoyable, slightly longer, moderate loop trail (Nideralp mountain hike to Staüben Falls). I cannot recommend accommodations in Unterschächen. However, we plan to stay in the town of Brunnen located on Lake Lucerne, which works as a great base for the other excursions we have planned. The hotel is approx 55 mins to the Ribi cable car. Hotel link below:
