Hi,
yes, that is true. Gruyeres is a lovely village with a wonderful medieval old town on a hill, with a castle and some interesting museum (one about Tibet and one about H. R. Giger, who created the Alien in the movie. Although that museum is a bit scary in my opinion.) And not to mention the cheese which is one of the best Swiss cheese, they also use it to make cheese fondue, which is a traditional cuisine here.
I would also choose Montreux instead of Geneve. You could try this too: http://www.myswissalps.com/ro chersdenaye. And if you are in the region, make sure not to miss the 100 years old steamboats: http://www.myswissalps.com/bo atlakegeneva

You will have much better luck using the time table (or the App mentioned by Han 88 ) if you spell names correctly.
“Moterux” is not likely to work if you are seeking Montreux. Monturex might let the computer figure out what you mean. However, once you are there, you will need to communicate, and spelling names correctly is an important part of that process.

I am having 2 night interlaken
2 night lucerne
2 night MontreuxRemoved userParticipant72625 posts12 September 2019 at 8:28:23 #921516Hi Nirav pandit,
I would suggest Zurich – Lucerne – Interlaken – Montreux – Zurich. From Lucerne to Interlaken, and from Interlaken to Montreux you can travel by the Golden Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/gettingthere).
You can find lists of hotels at:
- Zurich: http://www.myswissalps.com/zu rich/hotels
- Interlaken: http://www.myswissalps.com/in terlaken/hotels
- Montreux: http://www.myswissalps.com/mo ntreux/hotels
Use the filter to get the best match for you.

Can this work perfectly as I need your advise in the same.

If you sit at shore of Lucerne then that is also enough.
Do not rush.
The place where I stayed via Bed and Breakfast at Malters was the true Swiss… Day today working in commuting of swiss people. Enjoyed it.

Removed userParticipant72625 posts12 September 2019 at 18:08:06 #921520What are possible snow hiking activities we can explore in this season
AnnikaModerator7137 posts13 September 2019 at 12:11:06 #921521Hi Nirav, most high mountain tops will have snow by November, such as Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Titlis and Pilatus. Please find a complete overview at http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities/naturalsites/ mountains. If snowfall sets in early, some hiking trails may be groomed for winter hiking.

AnnikaModerator7137 posts14 September 2019 at 6:45:15 #921524Hi Nirav pandit. Sure, whatever you’re comfortable with! Both Montreux (not Moterux ;-)) and Lucerne are great base towns. Please refer to http://www.myswissalps.com/mo ntreux and http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne for information and links.

How to connect for chocolate train and is it Glgood one
AnnikaModerator7137 posts14 September 2019 at 16:47:04 #921526The Chocolate Train leaves from Montreux. You’ll find details at http://www.goldenpass.ch/en/g oldenpass/offer/view?id=15.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts14 September 2019 at 17:40:55 #921527Is this train work on November month or not as on site days are not shown after October
AnnikaModerator7137 posts15 September 2019 at 10:08:02 #921528No, unfortunately not. It’s very easy (and more flexible) to visit the Cailler factory on your own though. You can plan your trip to “Broc-Fabrique” (the train stop close to the factory) with the aid of the SBB timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts15 September 2019 at 10:29:46 #921529Zermatt or montreux which one should I connect.. I am planning to stay for 2 night either one so please give your suggestion which one will be the best one.
pvonkParticipant386 posts15 September 2019 at 12:50:04 #921530Zermatt (http://www.myswissalps.com/ze rmatt) or Montreux (http://www.myswissalps.com/mo ntreux)?
this is difficult to advise you. We don’t know what your preferences are. These two towns are very different – one in the mountains, the other by a large lake in a warmer zone. . Using the top menu look for info on the two to make your own decision.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts16 September 2019 at 19:59:24 #921531I am planning to buy Swiss pass for 5 days…
Please help as what additional cost I need to pay for jungfraujoch trip
Also where I need to pay additional cost
I’m my travelling or visistng the place in montreux, interlaken, jungfraujoch, Lucerne…Please guide.
pvonkParticipant386 posts16 September 2019 at 20:22:21 #921532For Jungfraujoch count about 150 CHF per person from Wengen or Grindlewald to the top. This assumes you have a STP which gives you a 25% discount. From Interlaken to Wengen or Grindlewald, it’s free with that pass. Going to the other cities is free.
The Swiss Travel pass (STP) comes in 3, 4, 8 and 15 days. There is no 5 day pass.
