    Hi Kym,

Yes, there is a new promotion and I will post a new thread about it soon. It’s AU$ 130 off any purchase (Swiss Travel Pass or any other passes/tickets), if you spend at least AU$ 1300.

For details, please see http://www.raileurope.com.au/ deals. Rail Europe Australia is a reputable company which is listed on our site also, so no problem to buy there: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price.

Thank you to the two of you!

Just a quick question? We still can’t decide on STP or flexi STP. We are there for 21 days and will be using transport on most days. Are we best to do a flexi and hope that some of our hotels provide travel cards whilst in their town???

    Hi Kym,

You’ll find tips here, under “Alternatives if you stay longer than 15 days“: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/details.

Using free travel cards could work, if they are available, and if they cover enough to work for your day trips. I wouldn’t just wait and see. Such offers mostly depend on the region and town you’ll be staying, so either all hotels offer such cards, or none. You should be able to find out in advance. There are pretty good free travel passes in the Montreux and Ticino regions, for example. In many other cases there is no card, or one that just covers a very small area.

Here’s my post about the promotion: http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/100-off-swiss-travel-pass-other-passestickets. I will add more details to it later.

Hi, I’ve been waiting to see if a promo comes up before we leave in May.. this discount for us in Australia is still more than the other sites e.g happy rail is $60 less than rail europe (with the promo code) so make sure you check the other retailers first! 🙂

    Hi Mini28,

Yes, doing the math is useful! I’d recommend to also check their World site as they offer the same promo with lower pass prices (but in EUR): http://www.raileurope-world.com/pass/swiss-travel-pass-82.
