Hi need some advice. Will be in lucerne on October 3. Would like to take advance of swiss travel pass, and use the boat/cogwheel/cable car. We will not be in lucerne until 2 pm. Can you help us fi gure out what mode of transportation is best/if we can include all/if it is all included with the swiss pass? Also a side question, for the scenic trains do you need a reservation or can you still get on without one?

Hi Marcella_3 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You find find details on how to get to Pilatus from Lucerne on our page here: http://www.myswissalps.com/pi latus/gettingthere

The timetable from Swiss railways (SBB) can be used to find exact departure details and connection information: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

The Swiss Travel Pass, bought here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price can be used to get 50% off the ticket to the mountain top from either Alpnachstad (cogwheel train) or from Kriens (cable car). The trip to either from Lucerne is free.
