I purchased 2 swiss half fare cards through Klook in November 2019 and received them from Rail Europe for 1 months travel from 18th May 2020. I have requested a refund from Klook and they will only refund 85%of the cost. Is this correct since we cannot travel to switzerland nor is the Bernina express running.

Both Klook and RailEurope are partners of MySwissAlps and I am sure you will receive the same refund as other travellers. Sometimes a fee is deducted for administrative work done, which might explain the 85% refund of your Swiss Half Fare Card.

Hi Kddale123,

According the Klook's page at https://www.klook.com/en-US/article/8219-europe_train_announcement/, a full refund should apply if you request for that before May 18. They only talk about the Swiss Travel Pass, but the Swiss Half Fare Card falls within the same product category of Swiss Travel System passes, and normally cancellation policies are exactly the same. I recommend to refer to that page and see what they say.

Greetings for the day!!!

I booked tickets in Geneva to Paris TGV Lyria through klook on non refundable basis for May month. I simply emailed to klook that I wish to travel to Switzerland for given dates but due to COVID 19 pandemic, this travel seems impossible for me. The conditions are beyond our control therefore Full refund should be processed.

Klook rep suggested that flight cancelation certificate or emailfrom airlines should be produced to them. This airlines' email or certificate should depict that flight is cancelled by airline & not the travellers and name of passengers(as on TV lyria ticket/swiss half fare card) should be mentioned clearly.

I submitted the email from airlines to klook and I got refund in 3 days. Thanks to klook they are really quick.

I have the same situation with the half fare card. I had to post the vouchers back to klook in China at my expense $17.70 Australian and was advised I would only receive 85% even though Swiss were apparently giving full refunds. It took quite some time but I guess that was more due to the postage but I did receive a refund which was around 85%. I am trying to claim the balance on travel insurance.

Thank You for your offer to help, I emailed Klook last week about the refund but have not received a reply, sent our half fare cards back to china last week for $17.70 Aud postage. Our Klook booking reference is NBQ965127
