Hi, I would like to ask if it’s possible to print the Swiss Half Fare card before I get into Switzerland?
If not, where can I get it before I arrive into Switzerland? Tks so much

According to their e-mail when I purchased it, they will try their best to send you the link of your half fare card at least 7 days before your pass is activated. You will have to print it.
I saw some people used their mobile as ticket for the conductor to check, i suppose it works the same as the difference is only the code.

Swiss Half Fare Card resellers are listed here. You’d best use http://www.swissrailways.com/ en. Once you’ve filled out your travel data and address there you’re asked to select a delivery option. Pick “Online ticket” and the pass will be e-mailed to you within a couple of days. You indeed have to print it and carry this during your travels, along with your passport.

IIs it possible to do the above both activities within 1 day? If it’s possible, which one should we do first? Take the Zermatt to Gornergrat Bahn first or the Zermatt to glacier paradise cable car?
Tks so much

Yes, they accept major credit cards, debit cards and cash. You can do both activities in one day. The order does not matter.
Have fun!

Hi Kentucky1
Cable cars can be shut down in high winds. So if it looks like there is any chance of the weather deteriorating, I would do the cable car trip first in case it’s closed later on.

Where do I get information about wind and weather conditions in Zermatt and the glacier paradise?
Tks so much
ArnoModerator15471 posts16 May 2016 at 12:28:50 #852050You can take a look here: http://www.matterhornparadise .ch/en/weather/weather.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts16 May 2016 at 14:21:42 #852051That’s something I learnt the hard way – although not in Switzerland. It was at the Zugspitze in Germany, where you can go up to the top by cable car and down by cogwheel train or vice versa. I went up on the cogwheel train, intending to come down in the cable car. However, by the time I was ready to go down, the wind had picked up and the cable car was shut down for the rest of the day, so I had to go back down on the train instead!
