Swiss Travel Pass & Golden Pass train
Chang has already purchased a Swiss Travel Pass and wants to know if they can use it for the Golden Pass Line from Luzern to Interlaken. They also inquire about the need for reservations on this route. The Swiss Travel Pass covers this journey, and reservations are not required.
- The Swiss Travel Pass provides free travel on the Golden Pass route from Luzern to Interlaken.
- Reservations for the Golden Pass Line are not needed.
- For certain scenic trains, like the ones from Zweisimmen to Montreux, it’s recommended to make a reservation to guarantee a spot.

I have a question: If I have already bought a Swiss Pass and wanted to travel on Golden Pass Line from Luzern to Interlaken, can I use my Swiss Pass? If yes, do I still have to make a reservation on Golden Pass Line? If a reservation is compulsory, then after making a reservation online, their reply is good enough to be used as a prove or they will just send me the reservation number?
Thanks & Regards,
Chang
