    Hi,

We (4 adults) will travel to Switzerland from 20 June 17 to 24 June 17, and wondering which type of train passes suit us the most. Initially, we are thinking about the Swiss Travel Pass (consecutive days) but not sure if it can be used for the golden pass line? When I check in http://www.swisstravelsystem.com/en/goldenpass-line.html, it does mentioned about the Flexi type but there is no information about the consecutive days type. So we wish to get advice on this. Any other suggestion on other train passes is also welcome. Our preliminary itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: Arrival at Geneva Airport –> Interlaken (visit lakes and surroundings)

Day 2: Interlaken (Lauterbrunnen and Jungfrau / Schilthorn)

Day 3: Interlaken –> Lucerne (boat to Mt. Rigi)

Day 4: Lucerne –> (Mt. Pilatus / Titlis)

Day 5: Visit around Lucerne town –>Zurich Airport (afternoon)

Any useful tips and suggestions on the trip are highly appreciated.

    Jacqie

Hi jacqueline99 and welcome back to MySwissAlps!

The Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Travel Pass Flex are virtually identical for benefits (except for the consecutive/flexible use of course). Click the links above to read about the benefits and how to buy the passes.

I would lean to the 4 day Swiss Travel Pass to use on Days 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Luzern to Zurich is fairly cheap on its own).

Both passes offer free travel on the Golden Pass route (whether you travel on regional trains or the panoramic trains). You can search the Swiss train schedules here.

For more information on, and what to do, in each town you are visiting, visit the following links:
Interlaken, Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, Luzern, Mt. Rigi, Mt. Pilatus, Mt. Titlis.
