How to get to Bever and trail details.

How to get there and back

Bever can be reached by train or by car from Preda/Chur, Samedan or Zernez. You can skip the first part of the route by taking the train to Spinas and start from there. It saves you about an hour. Spinas can not be reached by car.

From Preda, take the train to Chur or Bever/Samedan.

Route

You can basically follow the signs to Spinas and Preda. The trip starts easy with a very gradual climb to Spinas. From Spinas, the path gets a bit steeper and the landscape starts to look rougher. Further on, you turn right into the woods to enter a very steep path. You will soon leave the tree line behind you. This is the most difficult part of the route. The path is narrow and steep. Make sure that you wear good hiking shoes and use a hiking pole. Because of this path, we advise you not to do this hike in the opposite direction, as ascending is riskier. The path ends at the highest point of this hike: Fuorcla Crap Alv.

As you continue your way through this desolate area, you will pass some beautiful small mountain lakes. Eventually you will encounter the tree line again and shortly after you will reach the train station of Preda.
