Dear Friends,

I will be there in Spiez on 20.05.2024 and come to know about the Swiss public holiday on 20.05.2024. I have plan to visit Murren Village and Falls on that day. any idea / information what is remain to be open and closed on 20.05.2024 from tourist point /destination perspective.

Hi Camahesh,

You will be able to visit Mürren (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/murren/)  and the Lauterbrunnen Valley (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/lauterbrunnen/) on that day without any problems. Public transport will be operating, and restaurants and tourist attractions will be open as usual. General shops and supermarkets will be closed in most cases, but those in railway stations and major tourist destinations will generally open.

Hi Camahesh,

Yes, you’ll find you will still be able to go about with your plans :-).  If anything, transportation will run on on a Sunday schedule so a little less frequent but nothing too major.

Just use the Swiss timetable to plan:  https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/public-transport/timetable/

Restaurants may have shorter hours as maybe too, the shops that are open.
