What to do for 3 days in Lucerne late September
A traveler is planning a 4-day trip to Switzerland from September 29th to October 2nd, using Lucerne as their base. They want to explore Jungfrau, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Lucerne, and visit either Titlis, Pilatus, or Rigi, leaving them looking for suggestions for a scenic third day, preferably visiting Swiss villages.
- Consider splitting the mountain visits and boat ride into two separate days for a better experience.
- If the weather isn't ideal for mountain visits, check out cities like Bern, Basel, or Zürich for your backup plans.
- Utilize the Swiss railways timetable for efficient travel planning.
- The Swiss Travel Pass can be a great option for unlimited travel on trains, buses, and boats in Switzerland.
