It’s a rather short stay and I can imagine you’re not looking for a crammed schedule, rushing from one spot to the other. Having just one base town, Lucerne in your case, will be relaxed too. Love your suggestion.I have narrow down my research and i have more clear idea on my itinerary. Since going to Lauterburnnen is a pretty long journey, shall I change my plan to move a night stay from Lucern to Lauterbrunnen or interlakan, can it help to shorten the distance of travel? Then we will have more time to explore the village.

As suggested by Annika, I would recommend you to visit the website about the Christmas markets in Switzerland. There is a Santa Claus House/Montreux where I think that the children will enjoy it most. Do take into consideration.
