What to do for 1 day in Zermatt
A traveler is visiting Zermatt for a day, arriving at 10 AM. They are looking for suggestions on how to spend their day, focusing on options like Sunnegga Plateau, Gornergrat, and local village strolls. They are also considering hiking and visiting any open museums.
- Start your day at Sunnegga to enjoy the views before lunch, then head to Gornergrat in the afternoon for more scenic trails.
- The train to Gornergrat is easy to access from the train station, perfect for a quick trip.
- Take advantage of your overnight stay to explore the village and check if any museums are open.
- If you have time, look for small trails near Gornergrat for a more immersive experience.

Hi there!
We are visiting Zermatt for a day will reach in the morning around 10 AM. We are looking for some suggestion on how to spend a day there. We have potentially shortlisted following options:
(1) Sunnegga Plateau and Grindjisee Lake.
(2) Gornergrat. Are there any small trail to feel the area or lake nearby. Will it be pleasant enough to stroll around.
(3) Stroll around in village and possibly do museum if it is open by the time we are back. Would you recommend anything else here or add / modify.
Thanks much
Regards
