Different hotels or travel from one central place?
A traveler is planning a 5-day trip to Switzerland and is considering staying in Interlaken for three nights and visiting Luzern and Jungfraujoch, then spending the last two nights in Zurich. They want to know if it’s better to stay in fewer hotels and travel back and forth or switch hotels according to their destinations.
- Consider staying in Interlaken for nearby attractions like Jungfraujoch while also spending nights in Luzern for easy access to Zurich.
- Check hotel locations to ensure they are close to train stations for convenience.
- Book the Swiss Travel Pass for unlimited travel on trains and easy day trips.

For a 5 day trip, will it be helpful to stay in one hotel in Interlaken for three nights and four days and visit Luzern and jungfraujoch, then spend last two nights in Zurich, spending one day to visit Zurich? I am only trying to evaluate what would be better- staying in least number of hotels and visiting more places or should we change hotels according to changing major destinations? What would be wise, travel back and forth or switch hotels?
