But it can’t be compared to walking higher up in the mountains, where you get the best views. Walking up is possible, but you need to be a pretty good hiker to have the stamina for that. One hike that comes to mind is hiking up from Grindelwald to Alpiglen, then taking the train back down (assuming you’ll be there in summer or early fall). I don’t know how scenic it is there at the moment, as they are constructing a new cable car.
A pass could definitely be be worth it for 6 nights. I am quite sure most people do buy a pass if they stay for almost a week.
