Welcome to MySwissAlps, sanchita!
Both the Jungfraujoch and the Glacier Express are beautiful in their own way, but traveling times are decisive in this case. The Jungfraujoch is doable as a (long) day trip from Lucerne, the Glacier Express is much further away and not suited for a trip from Lucerne. You can best check the pages I linked to, including the “Route” sections, and study the timetable for details. General planning tips can be found at http://www.myswissalps.com/pl antrip/doi tyourself/composeitine rary.

Thanks for your suggestion,
We will go to Interlaken from Lucern by Golden Pass route and spend few hours there, then will go to Brig from Interlaken(via Spiez) and stay there for 1 night. Next morning we are planning to take Glacier Express from there to Chur, then Chur to Zurich.

Hi sanchita,
This sounds like a good plan. Just make sure that you know what to expect from your visit to Interlaken. There isn’t much to see in town, apart from shopping. For beautiful scenery, you’d better proceed to nearby Mürren, Schilthorn or Kleine Scheidegg. Also you can consider to take the boat from Interlaken West to Spiez.

Thank you very much, we will do according to your advice, but unfortunately we will not get any ticket(seat reservation) for Glacier Express from Brig to Chur on our date, so what to do? Is it worthy to do it from Andermatt (to Chur)?

I can still find seats available on the 10:18 AM train from Brig on October 22. I tried 2nd class for Swiss Travel Pass holders. Please see http://www.raileurope.co.in#t ab3. Booking links can also be found on the Glacier Express page.
