    Hey wait wait I will stay at bern in the end because I cant find a good hotel @ grindelwand

    Hotel Belvedere Grindelwald Was a very beautiful hotel to stay st in grindelwald. It was not far at all from train station , great breakfast , great staff. Close to the center and away from noise. Also many Airbnb that are worth looking into

    Bern is not in the mountains but very centrally located, so plenty of options for things to do. You could do day trips to Lucerne, the Jungfrau region, Gruyères, even to Zermatt if you want to.

    What can I do during those 5 days

    If traveling with teens can do the paragliding in Grindelwald. Can also do hiking. Can visit the waterfalls in Grindelwald. It’s beariful ! Take the train Laturenbern to see the falls there – beauriful !!! Can go to top of Europe from Grindelwald. Can take train to Interlaken.

    Hiking in January may be limited by snow on higher trails. Also, some of the falls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley close during part of the winter.
